CLD Fencing

ERP SYSTEM SELECTION, PROCESS AND ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

For the past half century, CLD Fencing has gained a solid reputation as one of the leading names in the fencing industry, being used on many high-security sites. Although a UK business, CLD Fencing is now a global organization with associate companies in Europe, as well as Australia and New Zealand. CLD’s products can now be seen in a wide variety of applications – from sports stadiums to government sites, and they have built up an enviable reputation within their industry.

 

The support we provided

 

We were originally engaged by CLD to support them in the selection of their first fully integrated ERP solution. Approximately 18 months after go-live of that system, with business continuing to grow, CLD asked us to help them identify and implement the necessary process and organisational changes within the business, that would ensure they could sustain continued growth, manage the business more effectively and ensure that they were able to exceed customer expectations.

 

Following interviews with the Directors and senior management team, we were able to identify the key issues that were creating the biggest problems within the business and to develop a plan for addressing them.

 

We then supported the implementation of this plan, introducing new CAD/CAM systems and a new CNC plasma cutting machine, recruiting new staff members and helping the team introduce improvements around stock control and management of CLD’s growing manufacturing processes.
